A Caring for our Country Grant has enabled a joint project by Tangaroa Blue and Surfrider Foundation to be launched along the Surf Coast of Victoria. The project will form part of the National Marine Debris Initiative and focus on coastal clean up activities, community awarness events, data collection and analysis and finding practical ways of reducing the amount of marine debris impacting the Victorian coastline.

Project activities will being in November 2010 and it is hoped will form a long term monitoring project adopted by the local community.
