In March this year Origin achieved the milestone of half a million green energy accounts – and to celebrate they partnered with Conservation Volunteers Australia to help contribute to the health of the Great Barrier Reef. Ten projects along the Queensland Coast from Brisbane to Cairns have been sponsored including beach clean-ups to remove rubbish that can be fatal for marine animals

Keep Busselton Beautiful in association with the Shire of Busselton and Keep Australia Beautiful Council are holding a clean up on Sunday 16th August 2009 commencing at 9am. The meeting place is the Vintage Car Club on the corner of Queen St & Marine Terrace, Busselton, Western Australia. If you'd like to help out just turn up on the day. Busselton is an entrant in this year’s Tidy Towns Competition.

The Member for the South West Region Hon Barry House MLC is delighted to announce two significant State Government Grants for the Augusta Margaret River Region today.
“The State Government has committed $43,060 to Tangaroa Blue Ocean Care Society’s (TBOCS) South West Marine Debris Project and $8,700 for the Lower Blackwood Landcare Groups project to improve the amenity of the Augusta Foreshore Pathway,” said Mr House.
